March 2007 saw the re-launch of the result of a near 7 year restoration.

All aspects of the boat were checked, fixed or replaced over the restoration period. Many changes were also made in regards to the set up of the boat, including engine postion, drive train set up and cowling design.

The history of Miss September is long and sordid, especially in regards to previous powerplant configurations. The engine history of this boat includes:

- 138ci 6cyl Grey (sideplate) Holden
- Turbo-charged 2litre 4cyl Ford Pinto
- Straight 6cl Valiant/Chrysler
- 202ci 6cl Holden
- 350ci Chevrolet V8
- 180ci Quad Cam V6 Nissan (current)

Previous names of this boat include Shazam and Oogabutch.
